Product Introduction
Tetrabromophthalic anhydride
Other name: PHT4; FHT-4; TBPA; TBPTA
CAS number: 632-79-1
Tetrabromophthalic anhydride is yellowish white acicular crystal or crystalline powder. Insoluble in water, aliphatic hydrocarbon solvents, slightly soluble in chloroform and other chlorinated hydrocarbons, acetone, dimethylbenzene, etc., soluble in nitrobenzene, dimethylformamide.
Product Application:
Tetrabromophthalic anhydride is a kind of acid flame retardant with high bromine content.
Reactive flame retardants: Tetrabromophthalic anhydride can be used as reactive flame retardants to react with polymers to form covalent bonds, thereby improving the flame retardancy of polymers. This is commonly used for materials such as polyester resin, epoxy resin, unsaturated polyester and polyurethane.
Additive flame retardants: TBPA can work synergistically with other flame retardants such as antimony trioxide to be used as additive flame retardants in thermoplastics such as polystyrene (PS), polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE) and ABS resins to improve the flame retardancy of these materials.
In addition, FHT-4 derivatives can be used in wire and cable, wool fabric flame retardant treatment.
Product Packaging & Storage:
TBPA is packaged in 25KG paper-plastic composite bag, 40 bags/pallet, 20Mt/20 'FCL
